Thinking Thin!

This is my journey through weight loss

My husband bought me a pedometer yesterday. It's a Go walking Sportline. It isn't anything too flashy... just a $10 pedometer, but it does the job. It doesn't work well when it is clipped on my side but it works pretty good clipped to my pants waist in the middle of my back. It still isn't completely accurate because it is so sensitive. There is a little metal hammer that knocks a sensor on the inside and you can hear it every time you step so that you know it is working. I get to see a round about estimate of how many steps I am taking on my daily walks.

My goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day. I figure I will split that into two and walk 5,000 in the morning and 5,000 in the evening. That way I don't get all worn out at once. I found a pretty cool website called http://walkertracker.com/. Here you can visualize your goal with graphs and widgets. I added my widget to this blog.

I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 6 lbs all together! Super exciting!!

About Me

My photo
My name is Amanda. I am married with two children (a 2 year old and a 7 year old). I live in a small town in Kentucky, but I haven't lived here forever. I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee and before that I was born in Brandon, Florida. I am a stay at home mother and I go to a holistic health college online. I am about to start another school soon. I will be studying to be a medical transcriptionist. My husband and I co-own a business with his father. We rent out party supplies and games and we also go to festivals all around Kentucky and set up game booths for children. That's pretty much my life in a nutshell!

About this blog...

This blog is geared to help me keep track of my weight loss and to help motivate me to stay on the right track. The idea is for me to lose 60-70 lbs. I know that I can do this safely and naturally. It's going to take some time and effort, but in the end, the rewards will be a healthy body, confidence, and a piece of mind. I hope that people will read my blog and be inspired to get started with their own weight loss endeavors.

This is me at 135 lbs before I got pregnant with my daughter 3 years ago.

This is me now at 193 lbs. I'm ready to look like I did in the first picture again!
